how to install rails on windows

Working on Windows. Long story as to why.

Recommended

  • Console2 — better dos shell
  • e — textmate clone, better than SciTe
  • Dexpot — virtual desktop manager
  • Sqlyog — database access

Necessary

  1. install Ruby (one click installer for windows)
  2. install and config mysql
  3. gem install rails –include-dependencies
